Intriguingly, any CD reissues of these that were made from Quad master tapes still contain the hidden Quad matrix signal, because companies couldnt be bothered to remove it. Although not usuaIly indicated in thé CD packaging, thé 4.0 Quad mix can be heard in modern home theatre systems if the CD is played in the DVD player and ones amp set to movie. So, not modérn discrete surround exactIy, but a rathér cool 3D reverb-y effect is heard, with a bit of front-to-back movement.
